About Us
The first unit of ‘PAIN and PALIATIVE’ care was started at Calicut, Kerala in 1993 by a team of dedicated professional and non-professional personals. Since then, it slowly started spreading its roots to different parts of Kerala. There are 21 care centres in the Ernakulum district alone, since its inception. Much is heard, talked, and done in the areas of pain and palliative care.
‘Bethany Shalom Bhavan’ is one such unit offering Hospice care, Home care and a mini Clinic facility. We also visit homes of patients within 30 kilometres from the centre, support them with care requirements and teach relatives or bystanders on how to continue with the care procedures.

Why ‘Bethany Shalom Bhavan’
Care is given to terminally ill cancer and bed ridden patients due to chronic illnesses. There are only two such hospices in this district where patients can be admitted and discharged as and when necessary and, ‘Bethany Shalom Bhavan’ is one of the two.
